Day 12-

Pardon the delay. Honestly we’ve been so busy, and it was EXHAUSTING; physically, mentally, spiritually.

We visited actual Charles home today. It was a beautiful white stucco, with high walls, heavy metal door, and barbed wire on top. Two smaller doodle looking dogs greeted us with smiles, and a German shepherd (the actual guard dog), remained locked in a dog house till night time.

Today was THE PARTY DAY at Tender Mercies! We all gathered at night; the children, staff, and our team, for a dinner, live entertainment by the kids. Many of the big kids also joined. We gave them their sponsor envelopes,  one child at a time, presented by each  team member individually. Making it a sweet spectacle where each member, AND child danced their ways to one another. Allowing each to show off their moves in front of the group if they had some, or dared to. Truly it was a blast, just encouraging everyone to be silly, show their style, and have fun! What amazing little individuals they all are, we’re all IN LOVE! Our teen boy David sang a song I know that said …

As our lives go…we remember…we will always be friends forever; reminding us that we will be forever imprinted on one another, friends/family forever.
